Spring Update

The winter was cold, wet and most of all (too) long. But I did not sit still and worked hard in my studio in Gananoque and my home studio. I had lots of fun exploring new insects, fish, commonplace objects, and textures and trying to get them on the canvas convincingly but not true to scale or natural environment. One of the new series is “Native Insects”, showing six-legged friends, which naturally occur in this region.

Many new artworks are varnished, wired, and ready to move to new homes. Most of them are in my studio, and you can come and view them during the weekends when I am there, and I can explain more about my motivation and technique.

I updated the website and added new artwork in the corresponding series. Please let me know by completing the form on the home page if you have any questions or come in and say “hi” next time you are in the lovely 1000 Islands area.
