Updates from Studio 2

I have been working in my new studio in the Gananoque Arts Network building on 167 King Street East in Gananoque for over one month. It is a great experience. The studio space is enjoyable to work in, and as the Painted Turtle Cafe is now open, I can get excellent coffee and listen to nice music while there. Many interesting people have seen the studios, gallery, community room and cafe. I have already had exciting conversations with artists and art collectors from all over the world. People love seeing the paintings up close and asking me about the artwork’s technique and story. This resulted in artworks travelling to different Ontario destinations and one insect painting flying to Australia.

Of course, it is not only socialising and coffee drinking. Painting has to be done. And I painted a lot! Several artworks shown in this post will get their protective layer of varnish soon, and their titles and contemplations will be revealed on this website.

The portraits after Lefebvre and Gérôme will not be added to the website but will be available for sale in the studio.

Will you come and have a look? I hope to see you soon in Studio 2!
